There were just so many things that were just not right when I first heard about the Guardians of the Galaxy when it was in development but as you know what you see is not always real. Marvel rocked one with not so star-studded cast and a high budget.
The movie had everything from comedy to action to some epic awesomeness. I know many were also talking about the original comic book being not so popular or the story not being a part of the Avengers storyline. I think they overcame almost all of the hurdles in this one.
It is simple no one ever expected this movie to do that good even it had that kind of budget but Chris Pratt from Parks & Recreations really rocked the entire movie. Not to forget that CGI Rocket Raccoon who added up the awesomeness to the entire movie & before I forget Bautista is Draux and is just impressive. The fight scenes are cool the overall VFX are enough to get the job done.

There is a negative thing to this movie though that it didn’t have that much of compelling plot. Even all that comedy was too abnormal for a Superhero movie the plot was not that great.
This movie worked really well both in the domestic and overseas market & is a massive hit. The movie took in $94 million, the biggest opening ever for an August release. We can surely expect Marvel & DC both aggressively pushing their lesser known but noteworthy series to the Big-screen. Not to forget this movie broke in at spot #31 in IMDB’s Top 250 movies where The Avengers is currently at solid #185 and not so surprisingly The Dark Knight is at #4.
That being said, it’s entirely possible that when the dust settles Guardians will still be the highest rated Marvel movie of all time! And we already know that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is already in works and there will be plenty of sequels if the upward trend follows.
At last I think the story isn’t anything new but the way it is presented is amazing. If you overlook the problems and just enjoy the movie this movie is quite a entertainer. You should check it out.
