Zankyou No Terror: This is What A Good Anime Feels Like

Its been a while since I have seen an anime which was awesome from top to bottom, well let me not over sell this but truly this anime ‘Zankyou No Terror‘ is awesome. Otherwise known as Terror in Resonance, I have already recommended this anime in my previous article 5 Best Anime Series From Summer 2014, but I never thought that this would turn out so good which makes me write this featurette.

One summer day, a terrorist attack strikes Tokyo. The perpetrators are two boys who call themselves “Sphinx.” The attack was just the beginning of the grandiose game they are playing that will envelop all of Japan. {ANN}

This anime has some of the finest brains behind it. Basically many anime I have watched till now turn wicked awesome after the first few episodes but this one was a bomb exploding right from the first episode. I eventually thought they would start sliding after like first 3-4 episodes but currently(at the time of writing) till episode #7 the show is rocking with its material. For those who don’t know it is directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, the same guy who’s known for Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo and Kids on the Slope.

The Soundtrack is something worth mentioning too. For some reasons I really liked the OST more than the opening and the ending scores. Speaking of animation, its quite standard well not anything phenomenal here but after Kids on the Slope the studio MAPPA has sure improved upon. Finally lets talk about the story now, well without spoiling it. There are these two boys together calling themselves Sphinx, who causing various destructions in Japan but the thing is that they don’t harm anyone. There’s even this introvert & clumsy girl who is bullied alot in her high school and wants to end herself joins these boys somehow. Then there is this guy called Shibazaki who is a master of riddles with the police force trying to capture these Terrorist but then something unfolds. Well to know what happens you gotta watch the anime and trust me its freaking amazing. The story at times feels fast paced but looking at their planned 11 episodes journey, the production team needs to make sure they fit in just right amount of awesome material.

Terror In Resonance Anime

Okay on the last note I would say that this anime not perfect so if you were expecting pure honey and sugar treatment then you might actually never find it in any anime for that matter. One thing though this anime has some powerful positive points and that’s a good thing. The series is still ongoing at the time of writing and is available on Madman Entertainment (AUS), Funimation (US) & if you are not on one of these regions you surely know where to watch it.

    Great anime seem to be dark and crazy. Well, at times.
