The X-Files Returns In 2016, Meanwhile Go Behind The Scenes
The famous science fiction horror drama The X-files is returning back after its original runs from 1993-2002. The show is created by Chris Carter, which also aired the original nine seasons. The show will start its airing on Fox from January 24, 2016, which is a Sunday with another episode airing the next day on Monday at 8:00pm. The premier episode was also showed at New York Comic Con on October 10, 2105.
Ahead of next month’s highly anticipated return of The X-Files series, Fox has released a 21-minute long featurette with behind-the-scenes footage and cast and crew interviews.
“I would hope [the revival] will be successful, I would hope we could continue, but right now, I’m just looking at it as these six, and then we’ll see what happens,” Duchovny told Variety in April.
The X files has many fans, who loved the theme of the show, which had topics such as extra terrestrials as the main story and paranormal stories as the standoff episodes. Also who can forget that soundtrack which everyone loved. The original show had David Duchovny as Fox Mulder , an FBI agent, Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully, a medical doctor and also an FBI agent. William B. Davis as The Smoking Man, a former government official and arch-nemesis of Mulder and Scully.
This show gained extreme popularity due to the themes showcased in the show. The main cast investigated crimes linked to paranormal beings. The new X files will be set in the current time with the same form of storytelling but the story is fresh and new. The series will also explore the relationship between the characters and their situations through the passage of time.
