Sony Announces Five Picture Deal with Valiant Entertainment
In a comic cinematic universe, DC and Marvel makeup to be greater masters but things are about the change at least it seems on the surface as another comic publisher is trying to get it’s hands dirty.
Valiant recently made a big deal with DMG Entertainment where it received about nine-figure investment to fund movie and television development along with other eight-figures investment in Valiant itself but seems like Valiant just got lucky as Sony just announced five picture deal with them.
Bloodshot will be one of it’s first film to release in 2017, it has pulled in directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski (John Wick) to take on the project with Jeff Wadlow (Cry Wolf, Kick-Ass 2) and Eric Heisserer (The Thing, Bird Box) on the script. Matthew Vaughn and Jason Kothari are also on board to produce.
Second movie out of those five movies will be Harbinger which has Heisserer as the sole writer. Apparently, no directors have been announced but Neil H. Moritz and Andrea Giannetti (Fast and Furious) will be producing the film.
There will also be a crossover feature titled Harbinger Wars after the sequel of the original Harbinger movie.
Whether or not they’ll be good, though, is still an open question.
