You Must Seriously Consider Watching ‘Tokyo Ghoul’

Tokyo Ghoul Cover

While everyone is freaked out about return of Sailor Moon & Sword Art Online II, I found a new awesome anime which is also ongoing this anime season, it is called ‘Tokyo Ghoul‘ & it is just darn awesome. This was one of those first shows of this season which I though would turn out awesome if I continue watching it, atleast it is different than most of the shows this season. After watching the first episode I do have high hopes from this anime.

Tokyo Ghoul Monster

Tokyo Ghoul has amazing art and really good animation to accompany its distinct plotline. To be honest I had no idea about this show and just bluntly went to watch this and this turned out to a game-changer. As far as the basic story of this anime goes, I would straightaway stay that its about a bunch of cannibals who can eat nothing but human flesh, anything beyond that is kinda weird to them. The are kinda bulletproof and the most important thing, they are called as Ghouls. Anyways here is the official plot summary:

Ken Kaneki is a bookworm college student who meets a girl names Rize at a cafe he frequents. They’re the same age and have the same interests, so they quickly become close. Little does Kaneki know that Rize is a ghoul – a kind of monster that lives by hunting and devouring human flesh. When part of her special organ – “the red child” – is transplanted into Kaneki, he becomes a ghoul himself, trapped in a warped world where humans are not the top of the food chain. {Source: ANN}

Tokyo Ghoul was the 27th best-selling manga series in Japan in 2013 and till now has sold a million of copies. Interestingly I learned that Oscar nominated director Morita Shuhei of the ‘Possessions’ (A short) is also involved with this anime. If all the cards play well till the end of the series we will surely have a awesome action packed thriller. What do you think?

For now you’ll can catch up with the series on Funimation {North America} & AnimeLab {Australia & New Zealand}
