Marvel Is Now Developing The Inhumans As A TV Series

Inhumans movie was axed recently but fear not because the fine folks at Marvel have a different future for Inhumans. A future on your TV screens.

Earlier this month, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said that he thought it was happening on television, then said that it could happen as a movie. Well, it looks like it going to be both!

Why both? you ask. Well, the first two episodes of the series will release in IMAX theaters and then will then continue its run on ABC.

The Inhumans, a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers, were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Since that time, they have grown in prominence and become some of the most popular and iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. “Marvel’s The Inhumans” will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family.

According to sources speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, The Inhumans show’s first season will run for eight episodes, and the series is not considered a direct spinoff of the events of Agents of SHIELD. This means it very conveniently cuts off the biggest connection of the TV side of Marvel’s shared universe further isolating it from the MCU.

Still it’s pretty cool that Marvel is moving forward with The Inhumans, I just hope they do something awesome with it. The Inhumans drops off on September 2017.
