Here’s Why You’ll Should Be Excited About ‘A Silent Voice’
A Silent Voice is an upcoming Anime movie based on the manga of the same name by Yoshitoki Oima.
Okay, there isn’t anything fancy about this movie. I mean this is a pure Drama movie but subject it talks about are what makes it really exciting.
Disability is a curse. You maybe not grateful for how healthy and sound you are there will a small group of disables wanting to be you and live a normal life. Many times disabled people face problems which just can’t be understood. Something like bullying, parental stress and so on.
Koe No Katachi explores the life of a deaf girl and the problem she faces over her different phases of life. I just loved this series, sure it is not that big if you are expecting 100+ chapters but still something worth considering.
It was just last year I guess when I completed the original manga and I was really amused by the beauty of it.
Meanwhile here’s the official synopsis:
I wish we had never met. I wish we could meet once again. A boy who can hear, Shoya Ishida, and a transfer student who can’t, Shoko Nishimiya. One fateful day, the two meet, and Shoya leads the class in bullying Shoko. But before long, the class shifts its target from Shoko to Shoya. Years later, Shoya feels strongly that he must see Shoko once again.
The story is good if not great, I think something that tries to tell a really unconventional tale. Due to the subject matter, the serialization has been reviewed and supported by the Japanese Federation of the Deaf.
Over everything else, Kyoto Animation is the squad behind Animation. Not that they are great but really good at what they do best and this is their forte. The movie is directed by Naoko Yamada who is known for K-On! & Tamako Market, so seems like we are in for a treat!
Even if the movie hits September 17, 2016, after reading the source material I am all pumped up to watch A Silent Voice.
If you’re anything like me, just go read the manga! An English language version of A Silent Voice is released in print by Kodansha and distributed digitally by Crunchyroll.
