Fox Is Going Longway With Lucifer Full Season Order
If you guys have been following Lucifer like I do, you’ll know the show has become something extraordinary. Fox already has a bunch of good shows under it’s belt like Gotham, Lucifer is one of those.
Even after been a relatively new show with its first four episodes drawing strong ratings, Fox has placed a full-season order. Effectively extending the episode count of its sophomore run from 13 to 22.
“Lucifer continues to deliver, with great blasts of dark humor and ambitious storytelling. The show has turned out to be a true wicked pleasure, the perfect companion to Gotham, and we couldn’t be more pleased to order these nine additional episodes,” Fox Broadcasting president David Madden said Monday in a statement. “We’d like to thank Tom, Lauren and the entire cast, who have imbued these characters with charm, humor and a great deal of humanity. Our thanks also go out to the production crew — Jerry, Len, Jonathan, Joe and Ildy — who, week-in and week-out, deliver a stellar show. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest of the season.”
Tom Ellis is doing such an awesome job that he practically gave Lucifer a different image. Even the show as a whole moved beyond its crime procedural pattern to something that is worth anticipation.
Although it hasn’t been renewed for Season 3, there is really no reason why it should not. All the signs of Season 3 actually materializing is present — full-episode order, good ratings, massive following and good reception from the critics.
