DC is Probably Creating Justice Society on Small Screen
DC is currently doing a fine job on the small screen with the exception of Constantine all of it’s shows are renewed and there are even more of them coming with iZombie being the first among them to debut on March 17.
Recently it was announced that The CW is creating a superhero team-up show based in the Arrow & The Flash universe which will include Ray Palmer/The Atom (Brandon Routh), Dr. Martin Stein half of Firestorm (Victor Garber), Leonard Snart a.k.a. Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and Caity Lotz. It also suggested that there will be three more characters who never appeared on the DC’s TV Universe.
So probably these three characters according to descriptions by TVLine are,
“THE TRAVELER” : Described as a “Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with his charm, this hero hails from the future, and has journeyed back in time on a secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a man who has lived through serious conflict. He also harbors many secrets, always leaving both his teammates and the audience unsure of his true allegiances.
“FEMALE WARRIOR” : This twentysomething Latina is pretty but unassuming, book smart and socially awkward by day. But by night, when she hears the cry of battle, her fury is ignited and she becomes a fierce warrior — so much so, that sometimes she can become a threat to others.
“MYSTERY HERO” : An African-American male in his twenties will fill the role of a regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations.
There are even more heroes which I wish would join the Justice Society they are,
- Martian Manhunter
- Power Girl
I know Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman won’t feature in any of these CW shows because they can’t pass that silver lining but there are many awesome characters in the DC Universe which would make it to Justice Society, if not regular appearances then at least like for a small arc.
I would totally love to see Supergirl & Nightwing to feature in this, just like how Flash & Arrow would, not for the entire season but at some major events.
Since DC’s CW TV Universe (which includes Supergirl & Teen Titans) & Cinematic Universe are not connected, it would be amazing to have Justice Society, a Justice League-esque team on TV.
