Heck, I Can’t Wait To Watch These Anime Shows From Fall 2016

Summer is coming to fade and so are the Anime shows from the summer catalog. As fall begins to usher, so will the upcoming shows from the fall 2016. Whether you’re into shonen or shoujo, there’s something for everyone to dive in. Again I won’t be listing shows like Sound! Euphonium (even if I am eager to watch it) as shows like these are already well known. BTW Sound! Euphonium, Haikyuu!! and Ajin among others are getting their next iterations. Meanwhile theses are some of the fresh shows from Fall 2016 catalog I am most excited for.

March Comes in like a Lion

March Comes in like a Lion

I’ve been reading this series from quite a while and boy I’m in love with it. It is written by the same person who wrote Honey and Clover, which is an another great anime. The protagonist Rei is a 17-year-old professional shōgi player, who lives by himself, not having a real family, and has scarcely any friends. Among his acquaintances is a family, which consists of a young woman, Akari Kawamoto, and her younger sisters, Hinata and Momo, who also keep several cats. As the story progresses, Rei deals with his maturing as a player and as a person, while developing his relationships with others, specially the Kawamoto sisters.

Occultic;Nine

Occultic;Nine

Based on the light novel written by the creator of Steins;Gate. Occultic;Nine follows nine idiosyncratic individuals who are linked by the “Chōjō Kagaku Kirikiri Basara” occult summary blog run by 17-year-old second-year high school student Yūta Gamon. Little discrepancy that occur around these nine eventually lead to a larger, unimaginable event that may alter what is considered common sense in this world.

Poco’s Udon World

Poco's Udon World

This is probably one of those series which will fill your heart with utter joy. The story is set in Kagawa Prefecture in the Shikoku island, It follows a Tokyo based web designer Sōta Tawara, who returns to his hometown, only to son find a strange kid in his family run Udon shop. Fascinated by that kid who probably isn’t human, Sōta Tawara quits his job in order to take care of the boy, Poko. So begins a cheerful anthology of a heartful fantasy.

It is a spinoff of the hit series Working!!, titled WWW.WORKING!! it will be based on the web comic, Web-ban Working!! It takes place at another Wagnaria!! location. It follows our protagonist Daisuke Higashida, who gets a job at the restaurant because of family financial difficulties, but no one who works there is normal.

The Great Passage

The Great Passage

The live-action film based on the same novel was critically acclaimed, so I hope the anime series will only be better. The series follows the employees at the Genbu Shobō publishing company. Araki, who is a veteran editor for the dictionary department, is looking for a successor now that he’s approaching retirement age. After Majime Mitsuya — a salesman who’s a poor talker — meets Masashi Nishioka — Araki’s coworker who is sociable and frivolous — Araki overhears their conversation and decides to recruit Majime into the department. The story follows “the awkward humans” Majime and Masashi as they work together to compile a medium-sized Japanese dictionary titled “The Great Passage” (Daitokai).
