5 Best Anime Series From Fall 2014

Its Fall, and like every season this time of the year there are some really good anime series and some pathetic anime series. To be honest I have already dropped more than half of the series coming out this fall but that doesn’t stop me from pointing some of the best series you could watch. To be fair enough I watched 2-3 episodes of every anime to get a better feel of the show and have pointed only those which are awesome. So lets look at some of the best anime series from fall 2014

Terra Formars

terra formars

Genre: Sci-fi, Action, Ultraviolence

Why to Watch: With all the Mars exploration going on right now things might change drastically in the future between us and the planet. We are already planning a Martian colony but what happens if some form of creatures evolve on that planet to support the conditions of the planet. This anime is just about that, basically what happens is cockroaches evolve from small bugs to life sized and somewhat intelligent beings and human race attempts to take back the face of Mars from the genetically-altered cockroaches they used to try to terraform the planet.

Parasyte -the maxim- (Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu)

Kiseijū: Sei no Kakuritsu (TV)

Genre: Action, Horror

Why to Watch: Alien parasites are taking over human bodies and feeding on other humans. While these parasite can take over any part of a person’s body, they usually take the brain as it grants control of the entire body. So this one boy happens to be infected by the parasite but in his arm, they form a symbiotic relationship and battle the other parasites.

Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works

Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works

Genre: Fighting, Romance

Why to Watch: I usually add only fresh shows to the seasonal anime recommendations but this one is a real exception. For those who don’t know this series follows the visual novel Fate/Stay Night and is a sequel to Fate/Zero, where in seven mages fight with their servants which are mythical historical figures for this omnipresent wish granting device in the Holy Grail War. One is required to watch any of the previous series to start watching this but watching Fate/Zero won’t hurt.

Amagi Brilliant Park

Amagi Brilliant Park

Genre: Comedy, Romance

Why to Watch: First of all this anime is produced by Kyoto Animation that is enough for many to start watching this show. The story centers around a amusement park which don’t get any customers. So a self-proclaimed genius high school boy is tasked with attracting 100,000 visitors in the next two weeks to an amusement park or else the park will be forced to close.

World Trigger

World Trigger

Genre: Action, Sci-fi

Why to Watch: Suddenly gigantic aliens crossover to our word and are invincible to Earth’s weapons. Earth’s only line of defense is a mysterious group called the “Border” who are armed with weapons called “Triggers” Four years later Humans are used to aliens attack and still continue to fight them. For starters it’s basically Shingeki no Kyojin but in a sci-fi setting with aliens but obviously the plot is vastly different but there are characters who are from alien side with the Humans so that relates much to Human Titans. BTW, I forgot the most important part Aliens are called “Neighbors.”

Some More Shows

Gugure! Kokkuri-san

Although I have listed 5 shows that I think are awesome, here are a few more which I think are interesting and fun to watch. Gugure! Kokkuri-san is funny show about a small girl who is haunted by a ghost but instead of scaring that girl he helps here as she is probably alone. Then I think would be Denki-Gai which is a totally random slice of life anime about the employees of a manga store. Lastly I would recommend Sanzoku no Musume Ronja, which probably is the first anime series by Studio Ghibli based on popular children’s fantasy book Ronia the Robber’s Daughter.

What are you watching this fall?
