5 Anime Shows Airing Right Now Which Are Worth A Try (Spring 2016)

A lot of new Anime shows release every season, but not all of them are awesome. Some shows are just plain terrible but that’s not what I am going to talk about. I am talking about those shows which make every season amazing like One Punch-Man, Ajin or Erased, Okay Erased turned out to be terrible in the end. Still one thing you’ll should keep in mind is the fact that this list is just based on the initial impressions, so you never know which might turn out to be terrible along the way. Nevertheless here are some of the finest shows airing right now!

Boku no Hero Academia

Boku No Hero

Ever since I heard about this anime I was excited. Sure I would be I am the religious follower of the original manga. Fine folks on the internet predicted that this was going to be something which will come close to the popularity of One Punch-Man, I don’t think that will happen. What I do know that this show is fabulous.

The series is based in the world where having powers is considered to be normal. So normal that almost 80% of the entire population is a power user. In such a universe our protagonist, a rather powerless human, wants to become a hero. Soon he meets his icon and the number one hero around All Might and everything changes. After weeks of reckless training he finally joins UA High, a prestigious school famous for their Superhero training. With super talented classmates both good and bad Izuyu slows walks the path of a hero.

Flying Witch

Flying Witch

Now this anime isn’t as great as other on the list. Yet not completely bad. It’s more about how the series goes along the way, which makes it a delighted experience.

The series follows the life of Makoto Kowata, a 15 years old witch. She leaves Yokohama with her black cat, to live in the house of her relatives in Aomori. This is where she begins to train as a witch. Even though Makoto’s powers are still limited to just flying through the sky, she and her second cousins surely make the most out of each and every day.

Joker Game

Joker Game

I guess this is one of the hottest anime of the season. It is set in the World War II era, the story involves a mysterious spy training organization known as the ‘D Agency.’ The organization is established by Lieutenant Colonel from the Imperial Japanese Army. His ideals lead him to recruit people beyond military academy graduates and personnel, while training them to become skilled agents in arts of manipulation. These agents would become a specialized team to conduct operations.

The story follows one such agent, Jirou Gamou, who goes on a harrowing mission to uncover some secret documents, while battling forces from within and without his own ranks.

Koutetsujou no Kabaneri

Koutetsujou no Kabaneri

This anime had many bells and whistles attached to it as the studio which gave us Attack on Titan is behind this project. Even the overall feel of the show is quite similar. I mean with giant monsters and steampunked designs.

As the world is in the middle of an industrial revolution, a monster appears that cannot be defeated unless its heart, which is protected by a layer of iron, is pierced. By infecting humans with its bite, the monster can create aggressive and undead creatures known as Kabane. On the island Hinomoto, located in the far east, people have built stations to shelter themselves from these creatures. People access the station, as well as transport wares between them, with the help of a locomotive running on steam, called Hayajiro. Ikoma, a boy who lives in the Aragane station and helps to build Hayajiro, creates his own weapon called Tsuranukizutsu in order to defeat the creatures. One day, as he waits for an opportunity to use his weapon, he meets a girl named Mumei, who is excused from the mandatory Kabane inspection. During the night, Ikoma meets Mumei again as he sees Hayajiro going out of control. The staff on the locomotive has turned into the creatures. The station, now under attack by Kabane, is the opportunity Ikoma has been looking for.

Big Order

Big Order

I don’t know what isn’t anyone talking about this anime. I read the original manga long back and I know this should is just something amazing in works.

The story focuses on an evolved species of humans called the Order users. Order users have the ability to grant their wishes with their special power called Order. Eiji Hoshimiya is responsible for the Great Destruction that happened exactly ten years ago because of his wish, which is why he refuses to use his power. At least until the transfer student Rin Kurenai makes a move on him and kidnapped his sister, Eiji’s life as an Order begins.
