The 10 Best Movies Of 2015

2015 is a old story now, sure this doesn’t stop me from telling you my best picks from the year. To begin with we had an amazing year with just so many comebacks of franchises like the Jurassic Park or Mad Max, we even had some distinct original new flicks. So here are the movies which I think were completely awesome, irrespective of their IMDB rankings or any other such scores.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Star Wars

This movie was the most hyped movie of this year and J.J. Abrams has done a great justice to it. The franchise’s return had the internet booming with spoilers and many speculations. The movie was a great kickoff to a new trilogy and is still being loved very much by the fans. The movie is really good and doesn’t disappoint, it’s a true sequel to the original trilogy. The film has an excellent new soundtrack from the master himself John Williams, which is a mix of fresh and old. The Force is Strong with this one.

The Martian

The Martian Head

The Martian directed by Ridley Scott is a fine piece of art. The film is funny, smart and thrilling to watch. Damon just hits a home run with his performance, with his humour and a sort of craziness to his character, others actors also don’t fail to impress us. The adaptation to the novel is very well pulled off. Definitely check this movie out.

Inside Out

inside out

Pixar has secrets on how to make a great movie which all family members can watch. This year they came with Inside out. It’s one of the best ideas which they came up with to show what emotions play an important role in our lives. And it’s perfectly shown here. There are moments of joy as well as moments which will make you cry. That’s why this movie deserves this list.

The Hateful Eight

The Hateful Eight

Quentin Tarantino’s 8th film doesn’t disappoint at all. The style, the action, humours and over the top violence screams out that it’s a Tarantino film. He is a master at putting forward a great mystery and western classical theme. The film picks up slow towards the tension but you get what you came for in the end. Definitely watch this one.

Revenant tells us the story of a frontiersman named Hugh Glass who sets out on the path of vengeance against those who left him to die after being mauled by a bear. Leonardo absolutely crushes with his performance as he is the frontrunner here. The film is beautifully shot in real locations. Do check this one out.

Mad Max: Fury Road

Mad Max: Fury Road

Mad Max: Fury Road is the return of George Miller to the franchise. The film truly showcases what true action sequences are. Tom hardy plays the role of Max, but this movie focuses on the character of Charlize Theron who is just a show stealer here. It’s totally insane and brutal and showcases a perfect balance of action and depth of needs between this infertile place on post apocalyptic earth. This is definitely a must watch for this year.

Creed is a simple story of Adonis Johnson, the son of Apollo Creed. Rocky Balboa is a trainer and mentor to him. It is definitely one of the best films in the Rocky franchise. The director does his best to stay attached to its original roots. The chemistry between the actors is just phenomenal.

Bridge of Spies

Bridge of Spies

Bridge of Spies is the story of an American lawyer who is appointed to defend an arrested Soviet spy. And to help the CIA to exchange a Soviet captured American spy plane pilot. The film has a really good story but the crafting of it lacked spark. The movie truly shows the morals and values what America is living for. Definitely watch this one.

Ex Machina

Ex Machina

The story runs around a young programmer who is selected to participate in experiments in artificial intelligence by reviewing the human qualities of female A.I. The movie is dark, funny and has a great philosophical puzzle for you, which makes it a great sci-fi. It evokes various questions from you. That is why this movie made it to this list.

Ant-Man was not a well anticipated movie, but Marvel has proved it yet again that it can make any superhero movie amazing. This movie had many troubles while it’s production, but it finally came out. The movie was unexpectedly good and had great humour and the very good use of CGI. While this is great the story doesn’t feel new. Still it’s a lot better than people thought, and also it has a few cameos from Avengers, So do watch it.
